This week's reading is from the book The Voice of Knowledge by Don Miguel Ruiz. I believe I have mentioned this book before but I never got around to finish the book so I am rereading the book. This blog post will be reading notes from what I have read so far and is in the theme of What is the Truth?
Truth is essential to a well-fulfilled life. I believe that Ruiz is hitting on the head of the nail about our lives seems to be a battle between what is truth and what is not truth. Many times "dramas" in our lives is based on this kind of conflict. But Ruiz said "You know that whatever they believe is just their point of view. It has nothing to do with you." So what is the truth? It is definitely not our reaction towards other people's perspective. Nor is it something that we say when we try to defend our reputation. I have learned that my reputation isn't mine to begin with. People will have opinions about me and it is their opinions, so therefore I have no reputation, and I believe that is the truth because truth will speak for itself and will need no one to defend it.
Many of us who have taken communication courses or psychology courses would be familiar with this phrase: Self-Fulfilled Prophecy. Ruiz writes this paragraph for us to ponder on.

The real conflict in our mind is between truth and what is not the truth, between the truth and lies...When you live your life in truth, you feel good, and your life is wonderful.

Faith is a powerful force in humans. If we invest our faith in a lie, that lie becomes truth for us. If we believe we are not good enough, then thy will be done, we are not good enough. If we believe we will fail, we will fail, because that is the power and magic of our faith.
